Cómo te definirías? Como un sujeto que es una cosa extraña y rara donde sea que se pare.

De pequeño querías ser…?  Investigador privado o astrónomo.

Un ídolo? Charles Mingus.

Un Vicio? Trabajar demasiado.

Un rincón para perderte? Tocar el saxofón en el cuarto de baño, improvisando sobre temas de Fela Kuti,  la acustica me fascina.

Como te imaginas de aquí a 10 años? Produciendo con fuerza mis mejores piezas, disfrutando mas de la vida, viajando y conociendo el mundo.

En una palabra como describirías Barcelona? Oasis... en medio de la crisis.

Qué te gustaría encontrar en una feria de arte? propuestas que me dejen sin palabras.

Una razón para amar SWAB. Dar a conocer la fuerza de los dibujantes jóvenes de Mexico.

Un sueño. Exponer en los Cinco continentes.

How would you define yourself? As a subject who becames strange and rare wherever it stops.

As a child wanted to be ...? Private detective and astronomer.

An idol? Charles Mingus.

A Vice? I work too much.

A place where you could get lost ? To play the saxophone in the bathroom, improvising some Fela Kuti themes, I love the acoustic musica.

How would you imagine you in the next 10 years? Producing my best pieces, enjoying more than now life, traveling and seeing the world.

How would you define the city of Barcelona in only one word? Oasis ... amid the crisis.

What would you like to find in an art fair? proposals that leave me speechless.

Swab: small piece of a absorbent material attached to the end of a stick or wire.

Swab will gather 50 galeries from around the world between May 26 and May 29 of 2011 in Barcelona.

SWAB was founded in 2006 by Contemporary Art Space from Barcelona Diezy7, a private, Contemporary Art Collection with the support of renowned national and International galleries.  This great cultural event also has the support of the City of Barcelona and the Generalitat de Catalunya.

SWAB was conceived out of the collections’ desire to affect positive cultural change through Contemporary Art. The four day Art Fair and it’s satellite events fulfill a number of social objectives with a programme that creates a cultural bridge between Catalunya and the rest of the world.

Swab brings together a carefully curated selection of participating international galleries, chosen because they focus on presenting works by younger, emerging, contemporary art stars – most of who were born after the 1970′s.  Swab is a highly respected Art platform, built to give this new generation of artists the opportunity to have their work seen by members of the public, and the global art community, including: leading art collectors, dealers, press and curators.

In return, Swab ensures that everyone is given the chance to enjoy these wonderful pieces, works that normally would not be accessible to them.  It also presents the breadth of contemporary art available and hopes to inspire new collectors by offering top quality art at affordable prices.

Swab returns to Barcelona for it’s fourth year, once again growing in scale and reputation, with 50 galleries from around the world signed up to participate, making SWAB 2011 bigger and better than ever before.

Swab2011 will also see the launch of many new initiatives; the fair will be moving to a new venue, enabling twice as many people to visit the fair.  It is also running a parallel programme of cultural activities under the SwabOFF including several fund-raising enterprises for Barcelona based charities that work with children.

Not just Barcelona – Post IT

Atticusbcn Gallery is proud to present the exhibit called “ Post it® Show Barcelona”. Curated by Crajes.

Opening on May 5th until the 31st.

Post It® Show Barcelona it’s a collective show with the peculiarity that all the pieces are made using the same, a Post It® note. This project started small but It’s been growing and achieving more and more notoriety among the artists we chose to participate. The fact that there will be quite a lot of original pieces from very different top artists from Spain and the rest of the world makes this show so special and unique. We will build a giant panel with all the Post it Notes from the artists, all the pieces have been specially designed for this particular exhibition. We think it’s an amazing chance to get yourself some Original Work from your favourite artist at a very reasonable price. So please on May 5th at 8 o clock Pm all of you got a date at Atticusbcn Gallery.
